The President of Albania appears to have become a huge Hoops fan and some Bhoys want him to be invited to Parkhead.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on a congratulatory message from Ilir Meta, the President of Albania.

Since bumping into Hoops supporters ahead of their team’s Champions League qualifier away in Sarajevo (The Scottish Sun), the politician has regularly spoken highly of the treble Treble winners.

This week, Celtic reached the third round of the Champions League qualifiers after securing a comprehensive 7-0 aggregate win over Estonia’s Nomme Kalju, their 5-0 win at Parkhead in the first leg followed up by a 2-0 away win.

Within the first ten minutes in Tallin, the Bhoys had a six-goal aggregate lead thanks to Aleksandr Kulinits’s own goal, though the second goal did not come until deep into injury time but it was worth the wait as competitive debutant Marian Shved lashed home a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area.

With Neil Lennon’s side now set to lock horns with Romania’s Cluj in the third qualifying round, Meta posted the following message on Twitter:
