Celtic fans have been left divided on social media after Tom Rogic’s display in their Scottish Cup quarter-final tie over Morton at Parkhead which leaves Brendan Rodgers’ men going into next week’s Old Firm game off the back of a win.

The Hoops struggled to break down Jim Duffy’s side initially, but they seemed to step through the gears during the second-half, and Rogic played an important role in the 3-0 win as it was his good work and testing cross from the right flank that allowed Moussa Dembele to break the deadlock shortly after the hour-mark.

That would prove to be the Australian’s last notable contribution in the game as he was taken off with just over 20 minutes to go, with loanee Charly Musonda replacing him as the Hoops booked their place in the last four of the competition.

After the game, a number of fans had differing opinions on Rogic’s display in the comfortable victory. Many have expressed their hope that the 25-year-old does not start next weekend’s Old Firm clash with Rangers as they feel that he looks off the pace.

He was not particularly influential, but there were also a decent section of supporters who were pleased with what they saw from the attacking midfielder.

Rogic has not played a full 90 minutes since the start of December, and some fans felt that he was now pushing to feature more prominently in Brendan Rodgers’ plans after his display against Morton.
