Celtic have picked up an impressive win against St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership. They won 5-2 despite going 2-1 down at one point in the game.

It was the introduction of Moussa Dembele that really turned the tide. The French striker scored a hat-trick within 25 minutes of coming into the game as he took his tally for the season to 23 goals in 39 appearances.

He came on for Gary Mackay-Steven, who had another bad day at the office.

The winger was making a rare start in the Celtic side as Brendan Rodgers rotated the starting XI.

The former Dundee United attacker did not have the desired impact. He was wasteful in front of goal and was ineffective in attack.

Since his arrival at Celtic Park he has struggled to play regular football and impress on a regular basis. Under Rodgers his stock has fallen even further and the Celtic fans are rarely pleased to see him in the starting XI.

The fact Dembele had such a potent impact from the bench will not have helped Mackay-Steven’s cause and Celtic fans were not impressed with the winger.
