Rangers have waved goodbye to teenage prodigy Billy Gilmour, confirming in a club statement that the youngster has signed with Chelsea.
The 15-year-old is a bright talent who has already been involved with first team squads, although had yet to make his debut.
The attacking midfielder has impressed in action for Rangers’ under-20 side, and the Gers did their best to persuade him to stay.

The Light Blues are set to earn £500,000 from his sale, a deal they claim maximises commercial value.
From a football perspective the switch is a gamble for Gilmour as the path to Rangers’ first team would have been quicker.
However the money on offer from Chelsea will change his and his family’s life, and if he really is as good as he is cracked up to be, then he will make the breakthrough any way.
Flop… Islam Feruz at Chelsea
He is not the only teenage player from the Scottish Premiership to make the move, with Islam Feruz leaving Celtic years ago for Chelsea. He has failed to make a single appearance for the Blues.
Celtic are in a far stronger position than Rangers, having won the last six league titles.
