Celtic fans message Tom Rogic on Twitter and beg the Aussie midfielder to stay at Parkhead.

Celtic fans on Twitter are urging Tom Rogic to sign a new contract at Parkhead.

The Australia midfielder only has a year left on his contract and a productive World Cup in Russia this summer could see a flurry of interest in the 25-year-old.

The World Game, who claim that Celtic value him at only £4 million due to the length of his deal, reported back in February that Rogic was refusing to sign a new contract with Brendan Rodgers’s side.

The skillful and yet powerful star has underlined his importance to the Hoops in recent weeks with classy performances – and goals – against Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Tom Rogic of Celtic runs through to score during the William Hill Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on May 27, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

And Celtic supporters are desperate to see him stay in Glasgow for the long term.

Rogic hasn’t used his personal Twitter account since August 2016, so it’s unlikely that the big man has seen the pleas from Celtic fans, but he must be well aware of his popularity among the Bhoys faithful.

That being said, he is probably good enough for the Premier League at this stage and although Celtic fans would hate to see him go, they couldn’t hold a grudge if he lights up England’s top flight like Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk have done.
