The Hoops ace was stand-in captain and scored twice for the Bhoys in the Parkhead outfit’s win over the Austrian side.

Celtic forward Michael Johnston has taken to Twitter with his post-match thoughts after the Hoops’ first pre-season game of 2019-20 against SC Pinkafeld.
The 20-year-old impressed in the run-out and got on the scoresheet shortly after the second half got underway, the nominated captain slotting home after being put through by Ewan Henderson.
Johnston rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute, grabbing his second and his side’s sixth, as he finished off from Jack Aitchison’s square ball, completing a positive run-out for Neil Lennon’s side.
The Celtic academy graduate, who made 23 appearances in all competitions last season (Transfermarkt), posted a short but sweet four-word tweet with his thoughts on being back in action in the green and white:
A number of Bhoys – plus teammate Calvin Miller – sent him a response on the social media platform and the general reaction was positive, with many hoping for big things from him next term:
In the friendly, Celtic fell behind to a Michael Pahr opener but the returning Leigh Griffiths grabbed an equaliser before Johnston, Ewan Henderson, Armstrong Oko-Flex and Jack Aitchison goals made it a comfortable 6-1 victory for Lennon’s charges.
