Rangers fans are backing Pedro Caixinha – but Celtic supporters appear to be too.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is seen prior to the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers fans have expressed their support for manager Pedro Caixinha on social media over the past 48 hours.

The #ImbackingPedro hashtag does just what it says, providing a place for supporters to voice their admiration for the manager and unify.

Rangers have had a mixed start to the season and currently sit six points behind unbeaten league leaders Celtic.

Caixinha has had a few unfortunate moments already in charge, losing twice at home to Celtic and being knocked out of the Europa League by Luxembourg minnows Progres Niederkorn.

Last week reports surfaced that he has banished veteran forward Kenny Miller to the under-20s squad, BBC Sport reported, leaving many wondering what is going on behind the scenes at the club.

Fortunately Rangers thrashed Hamilton 4-1 the same evening, ensuring there could be focus on the football rather than off the field, and energised fans responded with the hashtag as a show of support.

The problem is that while Rangers fans are keen for Caixinha to remain at the club – Celtic fans are too.

Rangers have not posed a threat to them while Caixinha has been in charge and Celtic have won the two matches at Ibrox by a combined 7-1 scoreline.
