Ex-Celtic star Ledley has terminated his contract at Derby.

Joe Ledley has opted to terminate his contract with Championship side Derby County and posted a message to fans to thank them for their support over the last 18 months – and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter.
The 32-year-old has struggled under Frank Lampard for game time, managing just four appearances this season. His last appearance for Derby came in August, and he has failed to make the bench since September.
Ledley joined Derby in September 2017 after his contract at Crystal Palace expired, but he only managed 30 appearances for the Rams in that time.
Ledley posted a statement on Twitter, explaining his situation to Derby fans and his reasoning for deciding to end his contract – which expired in the summer anyway.
Celtic made seven January signings in the form of Manny Perez, Andrew Gutman, Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Oliver Burke, Timothy Weah, Maryan Shved and Jeremy Toljan – four of which joined on deadline day.
But fans want more and have reacted to Ledley’s Tweet, urging the midfielder to return to Celtic five years after he left the Scottish champions to join Crystal Palace in January 2014.
Ledley made 157 appearances in all competitions for Brendan Rodgers’ side, helping them win three Scottish Premiership titles and two Scottish Cups. Now, fans want him back at Parkhead.
