Celtic suffered a 2-1 loss to RedBull Salzburg, but still qualified for the last 32.

Celtic suffered a 2-1 loss to RedBull Salzburg on Thursday night in the Europa League in what was a disappointing display against the Austrians – and fans are fed up with winger Scott Sinclair.
The Hoops scored a 95th-minute consolation through Olivier Ntcham but could have lost by a much bigger margin, with Craig Gordon producing a string of excellent saves.
However, it was Gordon that was at fault for Salzburg’s second. He looked to roll the ball out to a defender, but Hannes Wolf intercepted – in a goal that reminded fans of Karim Benzema’s strike in the Champions League final.
Moanes Dabbur had given Salzburg the lad prior to that with a header, and were heading for a comfortable win. Celtic then finally put the pressure on – Kris Ajer missing when it was easier to score, and Olivier Ntcham scoring the rebound from a penalty.

Despite the loss, lady luck shined on Celtic as they still managed to qualify for the last 32 of the competition – thanks to Rosenborg gaining an unlikely point against RB Leipzig.
But fans have lost patience with Sinclair, after another ineffectual performance from the ex-Aston Villa man. Failing to replicate his 2016-17 form, Sinclair is stuck in a rut and looks unlikely to get out – and Hoops fans made that clear on Twitter.
With the January transfer window approaching, fans are desperate to see the back of one of their highest earners on £25,000 a week, or a staggering £1.3million a year (Daily Star).
