Celtic signed Karpaty Lviv winger Maryan Shved in January.

Celtic made a host of signings in January, with the likes of Jeremy Toljan, Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah contributing well for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Other signings are more for the future, and winger Maryan Shved certainly comes into that category following his January deal with the Bhoys.
Shved, 21, signed from Karpaty Lviv in his native Ukraine, but boss Rodgers admitted to Sky Sports that he barely even knew who Shved was, and felt Celtic didn’t need another winger at all.
Shved was sent back to Karpaty on loan for the rest of the season before linking up with Celtic this summer, and he enjoyed a dream game on Sunday.
Karpaty travelled to take on Vorskla Poltava, and Shved ran riot with a hat-trick; a penalty, a fine right-footed finish after a neat turn and cheeky left-footed effort after rounding the Vorskla goalkeeper.
That’s now 11 goals and three assists in 19 games for the winger this season, and his hat-trick has made waves in the green side of Glasgow.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Shved’s hat-trick, branding him ‘unreal’, ‘a real find’ and ‘Celtic’s best signing in years’ as the Parkhead-bound winger starred.
Others compared him to ex-Celtic loanee Patrick Roberts, whilst one fan called him a box office player as Bhoys fans begin to get excited about their summer arrival.
