Chris Sutton reckons Scottish Premiership giants Celtic should rehire Hibernian boss Neil Lennon if Brendan Rodgers leave Parkhead.

Will Neil Lennon return as Celtic manager? Charlie Nicholas believes he could, Chris Sutton says he should.
Speaking to the Daily Star this week (16 October, page 45), former Hoops hero Nicholas claimed that Celtic would consider bringing Lennon back should Brendan Rodgers bid farewell in the near future.
“There are some inside Parkhead who see Neil Lennon as a live candidate to replace Brendan Rodgers when the time comes for him to move on.”
And, writing in his Daily Record column on Friday, another one-time Celtic striker in Chris Sutton stated his belief that Lennon is the right man to lead the current Premiership champions to a record 10-straight league titles.

But Lennon’s prospective return is proving to be a hard sell among Celtic fans.
Former Hoops captain Lennon managed the club between 2010 to 2014, winning the title on two occasions. And the Northern Irishman has only enhanced his reputation since taking over at then-second tier outfit Hibernian in 2016.
Hibs travel to Celtic on Saturday a point and a place ahead of the Glasgow giants in the table, after all.
But Celtic fans have not forgotten how the club performed towards the end of Lennon’s tenure and, with no obvious unfinished business to speak of, this has the feeling of a ‘backwards step’.
