Edouard failed to score though Celtic scraped past Rosenborg with a 1-0 win.

Celtic earned a narrow 1-0 win in Group B of the Europa League on Thursday night over Norwegian side Rosenborg, thanks to Scott Sinclair’s first-half strike – but fans were bitterly disappointed with striker Odsonne Edouard.
The Hoops took the lead in the 42nd minute as the on-fire James Forrest showed just what he is capable of, producing something out of nothing to get to the byline and stand the ball up for Sinclair to head home.
Brendan Rodgers’ side should have earned a more commanding result throughout the match, with the likes of Tom Rogic, Forrest and Edouard all missing chances to get their names on the score sheet.
Captain Scott Brown and striker Leigh Griffiths continued their comeback from injury by featuring against the Norwegian outfit, in what was a massive boost in Group B.
The Hoops are now one step away from the knockout stages of the Champions League, sitting in second with nine points. With only one game to play, third place RedBull Leipzig are on just six points.

Despite the win, Edouard fell way below the expected level of performance and hardly got involved throughout the match before being hooked in the 66th minute, replaced by Leigh Griffiths.
Celtic fans reacted to his underwhelming display on Thursday night via Twitter, with many labelling him as “poor”. One fan even described the £9million summer signing as “worse than Sinclair”.
