Benkovic himself intimated this past weekend [The Scottish Sun] that he might be up for sticking around another year – a scenario that Bhoys supporters are hoping materialises.
Despite Benkovic’s comments, it would be a surprise to see him return to Celtic, especially if Lennon takes the job.
The Northern Irishman barely played the Croat since taking the reins at Paradise in February, instead preferring to pair Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunvoic.
