Watt left Celtic Park permanently three years ago.

Celtic fans have leapt to Tony Watt’s defence after he was told by a Twitter troll he would live to regret blowing his career.
Watt shot to prominence at Celtic five years ago, scoring in the Bhoys’ famous victory over Barcelona – the anniversary of which was on Tuesday.

However, despite playing 28 times that season, the striker left Celtic on loan the following August, and later signed up for permanent spells at Standard Liege and Charlton Athletic.
Still only 23, Watt is now back in Belgium with OH Leuven, who are managed by former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson. However, he has scored only twice in seven outings for them this campaign.
Reflecting on that famous night at Celtic Park, he posted the following message to his old side on Twitter: “Thanks for letting me live my dream”.
That prompted one Bhoys supporter to respond: “You may have lived the dream, but also you’re going to live with the regret of blowing a promising career”.
But several other Celtic fans were quick to show they still have Watt’s back.
Explaining his Celtic exit, which was sparked by the signings of Amido Balde and Teemu Pukki, Watt wrote: “If u buy a player your gonna try make it work more than a young player! I didn’t wanna sit in stand and watch and just collect my money mate”
