Celtic could beat Rangers to St Mirren starlet Lewis Morgan – but the fans are unimpressed.

There can be no doubting that Lewis Morgan is one of the most exciting young players in Scottish football.
An under-21 international, the highly-rated winger is in the form of his life right now with second tier St Mirren, scoring 10 goals in 21 games in 2017/18. And it’s these sparkling displays which have Champions Celtic going all out to bring Morgan to Parkhead in January.
According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are leading the chase for the dynamic winger. And, just to make a potential deal even sweeter, they would be signing a player Rangers let go back in 2013.

And according to the Daily Record, Rangers also wanted to bring Morgan back to Ibrox – but it seems as if they could miss out on their prodigal son to their bitter Old Firm rivals.
But this does not necessarily mean that Morgan would be welcomed with open arms at Parkhead.
Celtic may continue to dominate domestically but have endured another disappointing European campaign, losing five of six Champions’ League group stage matches to just about shuffle their way into the Europa League despite a 1-0 home defeat to Anderlecht on the final matchday.

As such, supporters are understandably clamouring for more ambitious signings than an unproven youngster from the second division. By the way, see if you can spot the sarcastic Tweet.
