Celtic earned a comfortable passage into the Europa League group stage on Thursday night as they beat Lithuanian outfit FK Suduva 3-0 at Parkhead – but some fans were unimpressed with goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

The Hoops came into the match after drawing 1-1 in Lithuania, thanks to an Olivier Ntcham header. But this time around, Suduva were no match for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring with a wonderful free-kick to score his 100th Celtic goal, before Callum McGregor got his name on the score sheet after the interval and put the tie to bed with an accurate finish from 16 yards.

Celtic continued to dominate and Kristoffer Ajer’s first goal of the club made it three, as his header back across the box found its way into the bottom corner.

The win will come as a huge sigh of relied to Rodgers, who has endured a tumultuous month at Celtic where even his future has come into question. He is expected to be busy on the final day of the transfer window.

But some Celtic fans blasted goalkeeper Gordon for his display against Suduva, with many on Twitter keen to see the Scotland stopper sold and a replacement brought in at Celtic Park.
