Celtic are seeking a new manager following the departure of Neil Lennon – and a new name has been added to the mix this week.
The Daily Mail report that Lucien Favre is keen on the job having been let go by Borussia Dortmund earlier this season.
Now, if Celtic are committed to landing a head coach, then Favre may not quite be the right man, as he’s more of a traditional manager.
Still, his record has been pretty strong in recent years, obtaining Champions League places with Borussia Monchengladbach and Nice before heading to Dortmund.
The 63-year-old has helped develop the likes of Christian Pulisic, Giovanni Reyna, Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland in recent times, and his attractive brand of football has earned plaudits.
Favre’s CV is certainly impressive, and Celtic will surely be taking his interest seriously if he really is keen on the job.

Fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, urging Celtic to make a deal for Favre happen as he is the ideal candidate.
Some really don’t want Celtic to let Favre slip from their grasp, and would take him in heartbeat if he is keen.
