Morelos was sent off during Rangers’ 4-2 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday night.

Celtic fan and Stoke City winger James McClean has described Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos as “embarrassing” after the Colombian was sent off during Rangers’ 4-2 win over Aberdeen.
Morelos, 22, grabbed a brace while James Tavernier and Jermain Defoe also got their names on the score sheet to earn an excellent win at Pittodrie and keep Steven Gerrard’s side in touching distance of Celtic.
But Morelos was sent off for a third time against Aberdeen this season after an incident with Dons centre-back Scott McKenna, who also shown his marching orders in the 53rd minute of the contest.
A McKenna tackle lead to what seemed to be a stamp from Morelos, while McKenna flicked his boots into Morelos’ face. Renowned Celtic fan McClean described Morelos as embarrassing, claiming there was no contact with the striker’s face.

Morelos took his overall tally to 23 goals for the season, reacting first to Ryan Kent’s parried shot to tap home before sliding an exquisite left-footed effort past Joe Lewis.
Sam Cosgrove scored a brace for Aberdeen, but it was not enough as Tavernier’s penalty and Defoe’s injury-time winner saw the Gers open up a five-point gap between Rangers and Derek McInnes’ side in second and third.
Rangers’ focus switches to the Scottish Cup as they travel to Rugby Park to take on Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock in the fifth round, with Killie likely to be in frustrated mood after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Dundee.
