Celtic beat Real Betis 3-2 on Thursday night – and Empoli ace Liam Henderson was blown away by brother Ewan’s goal in the victory.
How Celtic v Betis unfolded
The Bhoys went ahead through Stephen Welsh before a Scott Bain own goal brought Betis level.
Ewan Henderson came off the bench to put Celtic back in front with his first touch of the game.
Borja Iglesias levelled it again for Betis, but Celtic wouldn’t be denied with David Turmbull scoring from the spot.
Celtic are still out of the Europa League, but this rousing performance was encouraging for Bhoys fans.
Henderson makes instant impact for Celtic
The story of the night came from midfielder Henderson, who scored his first goal for Celtic.
Henderson, 21, has been coming up through the Celtic ranks. After loan spells with Ross County and Dunfermline Athletic, Henderson has been trying to impress Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou gave Henderson a chance against Betis, bringing him on for Kyogo Furuhashi on 71 minutes.

Just a minute later, Henderson had found the net. It’s the dream of many Celtic youth graduates to score on a European night, and Henderson has now done it.
Ewan’s brother Liam – who also came through at Celtic – now plays in Serie A with Empoli.
Liam took to Twitter on Thursday night to call his brother’s mentality ‘incredible’.
The Empoli ace added that he is ‘extremely, extremely proud’ of his brother having made such a huge impact for Celtic last night.
