The Manchester City loanee could stay at Celtic Park next season, but the FK Sarajevo winger won’t be joining him.

Bosnian international winger Haris Duljevic will leave FK Sarajevo this month but is unlikely to end up at Celtic Park, the Daily Record reports.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Scottish champions on a number of occasions after impressing in his homeland, his five caps for the national side demonstrating how highly he is rated by the Eastern European nation.

The winger captains Sarajevo these days but, according to the Daily Record, will be giving up his armband in January after club officials admitted that he is set to depart in the coming weeks.

However, the same publication adds that Celtic are no longer interested in Duljevic despite being heavily tipped to make an approach last summer, leaving Bundesliga sides Frankfurt and Hamburg free to challenge for his signature.

And it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Celtic have decided to drop their reported interest after Brendan Rodgers admitted he was in talks with Manchester City about extending Patrick Roberts loan deal for another season, the Scottish Sun reports.

The 19-year-old may have not been a regular starter under Rodgers but he has frequently made an impact off the bench while reminding his parent club of his vast potential by sweeping home a brilliant finish against them in the Champions League group-stage.

Therefore, if Roberts does indeed remain in Glasgow, Duljevic may well have found football hard to come by had he moved to Glasgow.
