Manchester City should prioritise Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.

Manchester City’s flying start to the season suffered a blow late last month when summer signing Benjamin Mendy suffered a knee injury.
He could be out for the rest of 2017/18 and City have been playing Fabian Delph at left-back to fill in.
This is far from ideal, and in January they need to sign another left-back. Top of their list should be Kieran Tierney of Celtic.
Tierney is a key first team player for Celtic at 20-years-old, and is already a regular for Scotland too.

He has been linked to City’s rivals Manchester United, The Mirror report, among several other top sides.
The chance to work alongside Pep Guardiola at City could be enough to attract Tierney to make the switch, and for the Spaniard, the opportunity to develop one of Britain’s rising stars would also be an intriguing option.
Tierney fits the young profile of player City should be looking to build around, and certainly has the talent.

Even upon Mendy’s return, Tierney will be a useful option with City competing in multiple competitions, and the competition for places would be good for both players.
Celtic would be loathe to lose Tierney, but if the player wants the move, it would be tough to stand in his way, with money no object to the English Premier League side.
City also have an asset Celtic want, winger Patrick Roberts, and a swap deal or player plus cash could help sway the move.
