Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic suggests that he is right to be cautious about his injury recovery.
Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic has suggested to The Glasgow Evening Times that he was right not to rush back into action from his injury.
Simunovic needed surgery on his knee in January and returned to full fitness only in late pre-season, as reported by The Glasgow Evening Times.
The 22-year-old centre-back is playing well at the moment and is showing what he is capable of.
The Croatian youngster has explained why he was right not to rush back from his knee injury, and has suggested that he will take it easy for the time being.

“I would like to play more but we have to be smart sometimes,” Simunovic told The Glasgow Evening Times. “That’s the right way to be.
“The plan is to play in the Champions League. There’s Barcelona then we have the League Cup Final.
“What are the implications of overdoing it? It would just be too much because it was serious surgery. I am close to the end of that process and then I will play every week.”

Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are firm favourites to win the league title.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are currently at the top of the league table with 31 points from 11 matches.
The Bhoys are 10 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen and have a game in hand.
Celtic are also playing in the Champions League this season, but it does not look like they will be able to progress to the last 16 of Europe’s premier club competition.
