Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has just a matter of months left on his contract at Parkhead.
Boyata was heavily criticised over the summer, after it appeared he tried to force a move away from Parkhead.
The powerful centre-back has since come back into Brendan Rodgers’ plans.
However, Boyata only has months left on his contract at Celtic, and his comments about his future aren’t the most convincing.
“Right now I’m in a position where I’m not supposed to say anything about what happened in the past,” Boyata said.
“But I am fully committed with the team and I’m trying to give as much as I can whenever I’m on the pitch.
“I’m a Celtic player and I’m very happy to be a Celtic player. Whatever happens next, happens next.”
Losing Boyata would be a blow to Celtic, as he is so key to their plans.
Boyata has developed from an error-prone defender into arguably the most reliable centre-back in Celtic’s squad.
Rodgers has picked Boyata regularly since he has returned to the fold, which shows how highly he is rated.
Celtic return to action after the international break when they take on Hibernian.
