Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox this coming weekend.

Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer has spoken highly of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos to The Scottish Sun.

The Celtic defender and the Rangers striker are likely to face each other at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby this coming week.

While Ajer could line up for Brendan Rodgers’s visiting team in the Scottish Premiership, Colombian striker Morelos is likely to lead the line for the Gers on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the match, 19-year-old Norwegian defender Ajer has spoken highly of 21-year-old Colombian striker Morelos, who joined Rangers from HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £1 million.

Ajer told The Scottish Sun: “Morelos is a very good striker. He runs a lot and fights, so it was a tough game against him last time. I’ve been impressed with all the strikers in this league. It’s always a good fight.

Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is in great form for Rangers at the moment.

The Colombian youngster has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 27 Scottish Premiership appearances for Graeme Murty’s side so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
