The Hoops striker has been tipped by Hay to go right to the very top and suggests Bhoys fans should enjoy him before his ‘inevitable big move’.

Celtic legend Davie Hay has spoken very highly of Hoops forward Odsonne Edouard, describing him as the best striker in Scotland and boasting the talent and potential to go “right to the very top” (Glasgow Evening Times).
The 21-year-old, a France Under-21 international, has been a revelation at Parkhead since joining two years ago, initially on loan, and this term he is going from strength to strength for both club and country.
After impressing in the Glasgow derby against Rangers prior to the international break, Edouard went on to score a brace off the bench against Albania last week and, against the Czech Republic, he added another two goals after being handed a start.
Hay, who was impressed by Edouard’s “composure” for the goal against Celtic’s rivals, as well as his “all-round play and intelligence”, is hopeful that the Bhoys fans will be able to enjoy him in the green and white for a “while longer” before his “inevitable move”.
“There seems to be an upwards trajectory to his career that mirrors his good friend Moussa Dembele,” former Celtic boss Hay wrote in the Glasgow Evening Times.

“Hopefully, Edouard’s inevitable big move will be a while away yet and Celtic fans will get to enjoy him for a while longer, but it may well be the eventual destination of Morelos and Edouard once they leave Scottish football that will provide the real evidence of just who is the better player… to my mind, Edouard has the potential to go right to the very top.”
Edouard signed for Celtic on 31 August 2017 on a season-long loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain and the following summer he joined the Parkhead side permanently for a reported 10.3million Euro fee (£9.3million), according to Transfermarkt.
The Frenchman, contracted to Celtic until the summer of 2022, has 38 goals and 17 assists for the Bhoys, according to Transfermarkt.
