Tom Rogic was outstanding for Celtic in the Champions League recently.
All the talk at Celtic seems to revolve around how long they can keep hold of Moussa Dembele, who has been linked to a host of top English clubs and a number of European giants over the past few weeks and months.
Understandable, given how the 20-year-old hitman already has 17 goals in all competitions following his £500,000 switch from Fulham in the summer.
But another Celtic star who is destined for bigger and better things is Australian midfielder Tom Rogic.
The 23-year-old was simply outstanding in the Hoops’ 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night and it could be equally as tough to keep him at Parkhead beyond this season as it will be to retain Dembele.
Rogic was also sublime when City were held to a 3-3 draw in Glasgow back in September; two fine performances which would have boasted a big English audience and Celtic fans should be concerned that a number of people down South will try to poach him.
He has come on leaps and bounds since Rodgers took over from Ronny Deila in the summer, with the Aussie boasting a fine return of nine goals from midfield so far this season.
Surprisingly, there has been very little speculation in relation to his future in Glasgow as of late, perhaps due to Dembele’s performances, but there will certainly be a number of interested suitors come the summer – and maybe even January.
He is contracted to the Bhoys until the summer of 2019 and Rodgers should look to extend that in the name of boosting his value a little bit.
