Roberts has been at Celtic for 18 months, on a loan spell from Manchester City.
During his time in Glasgow the winger has become a real fans’ favourite, and he looks to have the potential to be a star of the future.
City’s wealth of attacking options means that his chances of breaking through at the Etihad Stadium are limited, but he would surely be an option for almost every other Premier League club.
And by signing the 20-year-old, Celtic will secure the signature of one of the most promising youngsters in England.
Roberts already looks to have the capabilities to tear apart the SPFL, and at £5 million his value is only set to grow.
Roberts still has his best years ahead of him, and that is a scary prospect for the whole of Scotland, given the way he has terrorised defences this term.
