The former Celtic’s striker’s XI has a heavy Rangers presence after the Ibrox side’s 3-1 win in Graeme Murty’s first game in temporary charge.

Chris Sutton has named three Rangers players in his Scottish Premiership team of the week after the Ibrox side’s 3-1 win at Hearts – three more than rivals Celtic.
Celtic were held to a surprise 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock on Saturday – only days after the Ayrshire side ended Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers reign.

And for the first time ever, Sutton – the former Celtic striker – failed to select a single Bhoys player in his XI of top flight performers.
In contrast, a trio of Rangers stars – James Tavernier, Ross McCrorie and Kenny Miller – made the cut, alongside four from Hibernian, two from Partick Thistle and one apiece from Kilmarnock and Aberdeen, albeit on loan from Celtic [Ryan Christie].

Sutton has been a regular critic of Rangers, but was left with little ammunition after the Gers’ impressive performance at Murrayfield.
The result – which arrived during Graeme Murty’s first game as caretaker manager – lifted Rangers to third in the table, and only six points behind leaders Celtic, who are going for a seventh successive title.
