Celtic want Cho Gue-sung and have been given hope of a deal after moves to Fenerbahce and Rennes were seemingly ruled out.
The Bhoys aren’t hanging around in their preparations for the January window are they?
Ange Postecoglou loves to get business done quickly and already has his first two signings of 2023 signed, sealed and delivered.
Vissel Kobe defender Yuki Kobayashi has agreed to sign on a free transfer whilst CF Montreal right back Alistair Johnston is on his way in too.

Celtic want Cho Gue-sung
Johnston joins after showing some promise with Canada at the World Cup in Qatar.
Johnston may not be the only World Cup ace heading to Parkhead if Postecoglou gets his way.
The Scottish Sun report that Celtic are keen on signing Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors striker Cho Gue-sung.
There are new doubts over the future of Giogos Giakoumakis and Celtic may need to go and sign another centre forward in January.
A striker with physical and aerial ability would be ideal to replace Giakoumakis and offer a change in style from Kyogo Furuhashi.
Cho has shown that quality, winning more headers than anybody else at the World Cup according to FB Ref.
Cho scored two fine headers for South Korea in their 3-2 defeat to Ghana and even clashed with Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday as South Korea beat Portugal 2-1.
Other clubs are bound to have been impressed with the 24-year-old striker but a couple of moves have been ruled out.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce and French side Rennes had both been linked with moves for Cho.
However, people around the striker have told Khan in South Korea that Fenerbahce and Rennes are not in for Cho.
That opens the door for Celtic to swoop in and take Cho to Glasgow, with other clubs seemingly looking elsewhere.
“The rumor that these clubs are interested in Cho Kyu-sung is not true,” they said. “It is true that Europe is interested in (Cho Kyu-sung),” they added.
