Rangers currently hold a 16-point lead in the title race

Jamie Carragher says Celtic have little chance of stopping Rangers in the title race.
The Liverpool legend is confident that his former team-mate Steven Gerrard can finish the job, with his side currently 16 points ahead of their rivals at the top of the Premiership.
Gerrard’s men are unbeaten in the top flight this season, having won 16 of their 18 games and conceded just five goals.
Fears that a 3-2 Betfred Cup quarter-final defeat might precipitate a slump were arrested on Saturday when the league leaders show character to come from behind and beat a dogged Motherwell 3-1 at Ibrox.

Neil Lennon’s men may be on a high after securing a quadruple treble, but ahead of Rangers’ match against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park Carragher has insisted Gerrard will see his team over the line.
Speaking about Celtic’s title chances on Si Ferry’s Open Goal Podcast, Carragher said: “It doesn’t look like it’s happening.
He’s (Lennon) got to win the next three Old Firms and that’s not happening. Two of them are at Ibrox.”
With the interview taking place at Carragher’s home, podcast regular Paul Slane asked: “See if Celtic win the league, can I come and stay here for a week?”

Carragher replied: “If Celtic win the league you can come and stay here for a year, or we can house swap.
“It’s not a problem. You have absolutely no chance.”
Celtic return to league action on Wednesday night when they host Ross County.
