Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic face a battle to keep hold of former Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has been speaking to House of Champions about the Celtic defender.
Romano claims that Premier League clubs are ‘exploring’ the possibility of signing Carter-Vickers this summer.
However, Romano notes that Celtic will try to keep hold of the defender and their other top players.
Premier League interest in Carter-Vickers isn’t a huge shock.
SBI Soccer in the United States reported back in May that Newcastle, Southampton and Fulham were all keen on the centre back.
Maybe those clubs will be back in for Carter-Vickers once again with Fulham potentially making sense.
That would give the former Spurs defender a return to London whilst his USA teammates Antonee Robinson and Tim Ream currently play for the club.

Tottenham didn’t see the best of Celtic’s Cameron Carter-Vickers
Carter-Vickers is another case of a player needing to leave the Tottenham setup in order to fulfil his potential.
Kyle Walker-Peters and Noni Madueke are a couple of great examples even if they left Spurs at different stages.
Carter-Vickers just couldn’t quite break through at Tottenham – even if he did try to break Mauricio Pochettino.
Speaking to The Telegraph way back in 2017, Pochettino admitted that he tried to challenge Carter-Vickers in Spurs training and it didn’t exactly go well.
Carter-Vickers ‘crushed everyone’ according to Pochettino, with the then-Spurs boss admitting that he hurt his hand in the collision.
“I did it today again. I challenged with Cameron and hurt my hand. He crushed everyone in the box,” said Pochettino as he commented on the American’s sheer power.
Celtic have seen that with great effect since his 2021 move to Parkhead, which started as a loan and became permanent last summer.
With more games time under his belt in Scotland and no longer having to prove himself with loan moves, Carter-Vickers has developed well and could end up back in England just a year after Tottenham flogged him.
