Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic have been offered the chance to sign Argentina international Fabricio Bustos as Independiente hold out for a £3 million fee, as reported by Homme du Match.

The Scottish Premiership giants hit a brick wall in their pursuit of George Baldock, Milan van Ewijk, Brandon Soppy and Valentin Rosier, while a deal to bring Aurelio Buta to Glasgow appears to have smashed into the buffers too.

Homme du Match reports the twice-capped Albiceleste ace has been “offered” to the Hoops as well as Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens.
Celtic are interested too and it’s understood that, as things stand, Glasgow is his most likely destination,

Quick, aggressive and attack-minded, Bustos is exactly the sort of swashbuckling full-back the former Australia boss likes, positioning himself high up the pitch before driving at defenders and whipping crosses into the box.
Bustos could solve Celtic’s right-back problems
Bustos is arguably at his most effective in a wing-back role, allowing Celtic to switch to a 3-5-2 if required.
“I like the way of playing Dani Alves had,” Bustos told Ole recently.
“Manchester City and Barcelona play with both full-backs high up, constantly attacking. They use them as a weapon to break down rivals. That is the game I like.”
That is the game Postecoglou likes too.
Bola Vip points out Bustos has just one year left on his contract, with an extension looking unlikely.
Furthermore, Independiente have been forced to drop their asking price, having previously demanded about £5 million.
