Neil Lennon isn’t finished by a long shot in terms of transfers.

Neil Lennon has claimed to The Record that he could yet sign three more players for Celtic this summer.

The Hoops haven’t been hugely busy in recent months but have brought Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell and Hatem Abd Elhamed to Glasgow, along with two youth players.

The Celtic boss has also watched Strahinja Pavlovic in action and the towering centre-back admitted on Tuesday that he was ‘flattered’ by speculation linking him to Parkhead [The Scottish Sun].

It seems like he may be one of the players who might be joining Lennon’s side, but the Northern Irishman suggests three positions could be strengthened overall.

He told The Record: “There’s two or three positions we’d like to strengthen in, I imagine there will be a bit of toing and froing, with players going in and players going out, which is always the case come the transfer window.

“But at the minute we’re stable and it’s nice and calm and we can look forward to the weekend now.”

Three more players will do Celtic very nicely indeed.

Reinforcements are key for the Bhoys. Not only do they have to ensure they qualify for the Champions League proper, but they need to stave off the threat of Rangers in domestic competition this season.

Steven Gerrard has enjoyed a very good summer on the transfer front and there is a sense that the Ibrox side could match their Old Firm enemies this season, but a few more players would make it that bit harder.
