Celtic head into the second leg of their Europa League qualifying tie against AIK with a 2-0 advantage.

Celtic Manager Neil Lennon arrives at the stadium prior to the Betfred League Cup match between Celtic and Dunfermline Athletic at Celtic Park on August 17, 2019 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed to the Scottish Sun that Craig Gordon will come back to start in goal for his side on Thursday evening.

Celtic are due to take on AIK in the Europa League qualifying as they look to progress to the group stages, after winning the first leg 2-0.

Celtic cannot play new signing Fraser Forster in the contest, as he wasn’t at the club when the first leg took place.

And Lennon has already confirmed that he will give Gordon the nod ahead of Scott Bain.

Lennon said: ”Fraser isn’t registered for Thursday and Craig Gordon will play.

“I just wanted to get Fraser some game-time and I am in a great position with the quality keepers we have.”

Celtic should have enough to get past AIK regardless of who plays in goal, after building up a healthy advantage last week.

Gordon is also experienced enough to deal with stepping back into Lennon’s side in a pressurised situation.

Forster’s made his debut for Celtic yesterday, as they picked up a 3-1 victory over Hearts.

The England international had a mixed time as he made some impressive stops, including saving a penalty, but also showed signs of rustiness as he made his first appearance back at Parkhead.
