It looks like Jack Hendry might be getting a lifeline at Celtic.

Neil Lennon has name-checked Jack Hendry as a potential replacement for Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic.

It leaves the Celtic manager a little light on recognised replacements at centre-back. Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien are Lennon’s first-choice duo right now, while the likes of Hatem Elhamed and Nir Bitton – who is injured – can play there.
One man who looked completely out of the picture in Glasgow is Hendry, who has managed only 11 minutes for the Bhoys since February.
A failed loan move away from Celtic this past summer means that he is also a potential deputy for Simunovic, and Lennon hinted that he could play his way into his plans.
He told The Scottish Sun: “It’s good to have that cover. Obviously Jozo is a big miss.
“We’ve also got Jack Hendry who is playing tonight in a development game so hopefully he’ll get up to speed quickly as well.”
Hendry posted a cryptic message on Instagram after failing to get a move away from Lennoxtown last month, writing, “You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life”.
