Neil Lennon wants Nick Hammond to be at Celtic on a permanent basis.

Hammond joined Celtic as a temporary recruitment chief at the start of July following the departure of Lee Congerton to Leicester City in the Premier League.
The 51-year-old has worked at West Bromwich Albion and Reading, and he has a strong reputation in the footballing community.
Celtic boss Lennon has said that he wants Hammond to be at Celtic Park on a permanent contract.
Lennon told The Scottish Sun: “We do have a rebuilding job on the recruitment side, there is no question of that. We are trying to do that and Nick is working to rebuilt the recruitment department.
“Lee Congerton left in the summer and that created a void. It is an issue at the minute because it’s not been filled yet. Nick will hopefully be in permanently and hopefully he can build his own ideas there.”

Further signings
Meanwhile, Lennon has said that despite Celtic failing to progress to the group stage of the Champions League this season, it will not affect his chances of making quality signings between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
A spot in the Champions League group stage has much more financial benefits than playing in the Europa League, but Lennon is not worried that it will affect the club’s chances of bringing in the players he wants.
Lennon told The Daily Record: “I don’t think so. We will still look to find players of value, quality and maybe re-saleable value as well.”
