Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox next weekend.

The Hoops will take on Rangers away from home at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership next weekend.
However, there is a chance that Celtic could be without the 26-year-old Australia international midfielder due to his participation in the Asian Cup.
Rodgers is desperate to have Rogic – who has been on the books of Celtic since January 2013 when he joined from Central Coast Mariners for a transfer fee reported by The Telegraph to be worth £400,000 – in his squad for Celtic’s game against Rangers at Ibrox.
Rodgers told The Scottish Sun about Rogic: “On behalf of Tom, we have to fight to give him the chance to play against Rangers.
“It doesn’t make sense that he can’t travel after the Old Firm game on the 29th. There is still a week before Austalia’s first Asian Cup game at that point.
“It doesn’t make sense for Tom to travel on the night of December 27, then sit and do virtually nothing for a few days.”

Tom Rogic against Rangers
Rogic is an important player for Celtic, and the Hoops are a better team with the Australian in it.
The Old Firm derby against Rangers will be massive regarding the Scottish Premiership title race, and it will make sense for the 26-year-old to play against the Gers and then join his Australia teammates for the Asian Cup.
