Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers reflects on the 2-2 draw with Inverness in September.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told The Scottish Sun that the 2-2 draw with Inverness back in September still annoys him because of what it has gone on to deny the Hoops.
Rodgers’s side were minutes away from winning at Caley Thistle on September 18, but a last-gasp equaliser from Alex Fisher denied Celtic that day.
The Bhoys had won their four Premiership games which preceded that visit to Inverness, and they have won the five league outings which have followed.

In retrospect, it means that Fisher’s last-minute strike has denied Celtic a victory in each of their first 10 Premiership games of this season.
The Northern Irish boss has the chance to avenge that stalemate on Saturday when Caley travel to Parkhead on Saturday, but Rodgers has told The Scottish Sun that their 10-in-a-row failure still rankles with him ahead of this weekend.

“It’s testament to the players and their mentality but the Inverness game still rankles with me a bit. We should have had ten wins out of ten but conceded late on,” he said.
It sort of sums up Rodgers’s spell at Paradise so far that his biggest disappointment is not winning 10 Premiership games in a row.
Celtic, who also have a game in hand, sit top of the table, nine points ahead of Rangers in second. It would seem like a sixth successive top-flight title is already a foregone conclusion.
