Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are set to take on Celtic at the weekend.
Brendan Rodgers has warned Glasgow Rangers that playing with more aggression could play right into his Celtic side’s hands at the weekend in the Daily Record.
Rangers were criticised for their meek performance against Celtic in the Old-Firm derby last weekend, which took place at Hampden Park.
Caixinha has spent the week insisting that the Light Blues will play with more intensity on Saturday at Ibrox.
But Rodgers does not necessarily think that a higher pressure approach will pay dividends for Rangers.
He said: “They haven’t really been a high pressure team. If they feel the need to press, it can also be dangerous because behind it leaves a big space which we have speed to break into.
“I am sure their supporters will demand that they be better, they will want to be better – but we want to be better.
“We want to improve but they are always great games.”
Celtic were extremely comfortable when the two sides last met, and picked up a 2-0 win.
Rangers stood off, allowing Celtic to dictate possession, and Rodgers’ side punished their Glasgow rivals by scoring goals through Callum McGregor and Scott Sinclair.
Celtic and Rangers have met each other five times already this season, and Rodgers’ side are still yet to taste defeat.
Celtic go into this weekend’s match 33 points clear of the Light Blues, but if Caixinha’s men could pick up a victory, it would be a major boost ahead of next season – when they will be looking to close the gap.
