Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted to the Daily Record that he would like Glasgow Rangers to become more competitive in future years.
Rangers have struggled in their first season back in the top flight, and they have not managed to put up a title challenge.

The Light Blues are a staggering 27 points behind Celtic in the table already, and that gap looks set to increase before the end of the campaign.
However, Rodgers is hopeful that Rangers will strengthen over the summer, and come back a better team next season.
“You need a strong league,” he said.
“You want the strongest league you can possible have, whether it’s Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, whoever, you want the strongest possible league you can.”
At the start of the campaign, Rangers were expected to be Celtic’s main challengers in the battle for the Scottish Premiership title.

However, the Bhoys have asserted their superiority over their Glasgow rivals this term.
Celtic are still yet to lose a domestic match since Brendan Rodgers took charge, and are still on course to win the treble.
Celtic are next in action against Motherwell tomorrow, while Rangers take on Dundee on Sunday.
