Dedryck Boyata is out of contract at Celtic at the end of the season, but may have potentially dropped a hint about his future.

The Daily Record reports that Boyata is out of contract in the summer, but he got many of the Parkhead faithful speculating after posting a video that showed a contract on his desk.
But Rodgers has seemingly played down the idea that the Belgian is about to put all speculation about his future to bed by insisting that he knows nothing about the post or whether the centre-back has made a decision regarding his next move.
“I have to say I’m not a social media person, I’m probably anti-social media. So I have no idea what was on there,” he told BT Sport. “If he’s signed a contract for Celtic then that’s great because he is a fantastic player for us.

“But I will speak to him tomorrow and he can enlighten me.”
It would be a huge boost for Celtic to extend Boyata’s contract. His form has not always been the most convincing, but he is playing some of his best football for the Bhoys this season.

Losing him for nothing in the summer would be a massive blow for the Scottish Premiership champions, so it would be a fantastic piece of business if they could get something agreed in the near future.
It is possible that Rodgers knows more than he is currently letting on, of course. But it would appear that there is a lot more work that needs to be done before Celtic can celebrate tying one of their key players down to a new deal.
