Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer recently.

Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers celebrates during the William Hill Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on May 27, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers’ high praise of Kristoffer Ajer should only encourage Tottenham Hotspur to make a move for the defender.

TeamTalk have suggested that Spurs want to sign Ajer from Celtic in the summer transfer window.

And Rodgers’ high praise for the centre-back, should encourage Spurs that he could be a great addition.

“He has everything. His potential is huge,” Rodgers said to the Scotsman.

Kristopher Ajer of Celtic during the International Champions Cup series match between Barcelona and Celtic at Aviva Stadium on July 30, 2016 in Dublin, Ireland.

“He’s 6ft 5in, quick, can play football. He’s a very bright boy as well, he knows there is still a lot of learning for him. He’s got this great hunger to get better, which I love in players, and he’s not even 20 yet.”

Ajer has played with a remarkable amount of composure for someone of such tender years.

The 19-year-old has looked perfectly at home in the Bhoys’ defence, and looks to have a very bright future ahead of him.

Ajer looks just like the sort of player that Tottenham have tended to sign in recent years.

The Norwegian is not yet the finished article, but he looks to have a huge amount of potential.

And Rodgers’ glowing praise of the youngster, is sure to have been noted by Spurs’ scouts, as it should serve as further encouragement that he could be a good fit for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
