The Bhoys maintained their four-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has heaped praise upon Craig Gordon for his performance in the Hoops’ 1-0 victory over Dundee at Dens Park, The Scottish Sun reports.
The win saw the Bhoys keep their first clean sheet in the top flight this season to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic’s Craig Gordon
But it comes just over a month after Gordon was dropped in favour of summer signing Dorus de Vries, with the former only regaining his place after the Dutchman picked up an injury last weekend.
And after praising the 33-year-old’s display against Paul Hartley’s men, Rodgers suggested that his improved form was vindication for the decision to drop him from the side.

“I was delighted with Craig Gordon today and this is what this way of working does, hopefully it improves players,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
“I think you saw Craig with his distribution today, how he was composed, calm and came for crosses and defended his goal very well.”
Celtic’s Dorus de Vries
Before he was left out, Gordon’s form was disappointing by his usual standards, and Rodgers was perhaps justified opting to pick a player who he knew well and had been player of the season at his former club.
However, after de Vries failed to really grasp the opportunity, his injury provided Gordon with a second chance to prove himself to his manager.
And based on his first handful of performances since his return, it appears that the Scotland international is taking his chance expertly.
