Celtic’s Moussa Dembele celebrates after scoring their second goal from the penalty spot
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been praising the early season form of striker Moussa Dembele, signed from Fulham in the summer, after he was awarded the Player of the Month award for September in the Scottish Premiership.
The French striker, who also scored on international duty with the France under-21s this week, has netted 12 goals in 17 appearances for Celtic so far this season and looks set to continue taking Scottish football by storm.

Speaking to the press today, as reported by the Celtic website, Rodgers had this to say about Dembele:
“We were very fortunate to get a top young player.
“He’s a French Under-21 internationalist who scores goals at that level.
“He’s happy here and, of course, he’s only just through the door. He and his representatives were keen for him to come and develop and he loves life here in Glasgow.

“Moussa knows he is still on that pathway for learning and he’s at the best club for him to do that.”
The French talent has even seen his name linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this week, the team he left in 2012 for Fulham, because of his good form with the Bhoys.
But, as quoted by ESPN, Rodgers is certain that Dembele will be staying at Celtic Park:
“He is loving his life in Glasgow, playing for Celtic and knows he is at the best club for learning and developing.”

Dembele’s good form has also been present in the Champions League and he certainly looks like a player who has all the ability to go on perform on a bigger stage than the Scottish Premiership.
But for the immediate future he is at Paradise and Celtic fans will hope he continues his fine form.
