Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly want John McGinn of Hibernian.

Hibernian midfielder John McGinn is a player in demand, with Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers, Leeds United, Celtic and Derby County all reportedly interested in him.
Ibrox club Rangers and Leeds are interested in McGinn, according to The Scottish Sun, while The Sun has claimed that Frank Lampard’s Derby side want to secure the services of the Scotland international midfielder.
Earlier this month, The Scottish Sun reported of a bid of £1.5 million from Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic for the 23-year-old midfielder.
That offer was reportedly turned down, but Celtic manager Rodgers is hopeful of eventually signing the former St. Mirren star this summer.
Rodgers told The Scottish Sun when asked for the latest on McGinn: “Nothing. I just wait to see what happens between the clubs.
“I’ve nothing more to say on that. Is it still a live matter? Yeah, I think it’s what happens in negotiations.
“That will be organised, hopefully, between the two clubs and hopefully we have another player. We want to get players in as soon as we can.”

Celtic move inevitable?
While Leeds, Rangers and Derby are also reportedly interested in McGinn, it does seem inevitable that the Hibernian star will end up at Celtic this summer.
With negotiations between the two clubs going on, it is only a matter of time before an agreement is reached.
It is clear that Rodgers want McGinn at Celtic, and although Hibernian have reportedly turned down their first offer, if the Hoops make a second and improved bid, then Neil Lennon’s side could be forced into parting company with one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership.
