Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Motherwell on Sunday.

In the opening minutes of the second half, instead of observing fair play and gentlemanly conduct following a throw-in for Motherwell, the 18-year-old forward started an attack which ended in a goal for the visiting team.
That goal did not affect the final result, as the Hoops got the better of Motherwell 4-1 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Celtic manager Rodgers has slammed Motherwell forward Scott for his action.
Rodgers told The Daily Record: “If he’s old enough to play and start. You know, Ewan Henderson is a kid as well. Nah, he knows exactly what he is doing, he’s played in football games before. He’ll learn from it, of course.
“I’m disappointed for him. He’s making his first start for Motherwell. But there’s no excuse, there’s no excuse.
“I’m disappointed for my players because we’ve kept clean sheets domestically, focused on defending and that’s a goal that goes against our work. But more importantly it’s a goal that goes against the ethics of the game, and that’s the disappointing aspect.”

Title defence
Celtic may have been knocked out of the Europa League, but the Glasgow giants are very much in the running for the Scottish Premiership title and could win the championship yet again this season.
The Hoops are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 63 points from 27 matches, as many as eight points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
