Celtic boss confirms that the outstanding Rivaldo Coetzee is close to joining the Parkhead club.

Speaking to BT Sport, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the “outstanding” Rivaldo Coetzee is close to signing for his team.
Sport 24 reported this week that the 20-year-old Ajax Cape Town defender was set to join up with the Scottish Premiership champions before the window closes.
And the Northern Irish Celtic manager has confirmed a deal is in place, but revealed there is still some work to do before getting the move over the line.

“Well I believe there’s been an agreement,” he told BT Sport.
“There’s a medical and whatnot to go through. He’s an outstanding young player that we think can help us, but it’s not complete yet.”
If and when this goes through, the path might be clear for Erik Sviatchenko to leave the Hoops.

According to The Express, Copenhagen want to sign the Danish centre-back in a £3 million deal, the 25-year-old falling behind Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata in the pecking order over the past seven or eight months or so.
