Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are believed to be considering putting Steve Clarke in charge, and Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is a fan.

Rodgers was defending the standard of bosses in Scotland, when he, perhaps, gave away who he feels should be put in charge at Ibrox next term.
Current Rangers boss Graeme Murty’s future remains undecided, but it seems that he could exit at the end of the campaign.

And Rodgers said: “There are really good coaches up here, Scotland has always produced outstanding players and coaches.
“You’ve got Neil Lennon at Hibs, Derek McInnes at Aberdeen, Steve Clarke at Kilmarnock, and there are lots of others.”
Rangers have been unable to truly challenge Celtic in recent years, with Brendan Rodgers’ side set to win their seventh league title in succession this term.

If Clarke was to be appointed at Rangers, Celtic may have more competition for top spot though.
Clarke has done a highly impressive job at Kilmarnock since taking charge, guiding them into fifth place in the Scottish table.
Rangers and Celtic will lock horns at the weekend again in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
