Kieran Tierney has missed Celtic’s last two games with a calf injury, but could face Rangers.

Brendan Rodgers will have delighted Celtic fans in his Tuesday press conference after declaring fan favourite Kieran Tierney is likely to be fit for next weekend’s Old Firm derby against Rangers.
The Hoops face Dundee on Wednesday night at Parkhead, but 20-year-old Tierney is not expected to feature at all against Neil McCann’s side in what should be a foregone conclusion against the Dark Blues.
Tierney has been sidelined for the last two Scottish Premiership outings for Celtic due to a calf injury, missing the 0-0 draw against Motherwell and the 3-0 victory over Ross County last time out.

He is set to miss a third consecutive match on Wednesday night but should return on the weekend to face Hamilton on Sunday before the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers a week later – as confirmed by Rodgers.
“He’ll [Tierney] rejoin training towards the end of the week, he’s out with the medical team and looking very strong. He should be back training Thursday,” Rodgers said in his press conference.

Callum McGregor had deputised on the left side of defence for the last two games, with Calvin Miller seemingly overlooked by the former Liverpool and Swansea City boss.
Tierney’s return will come as a huge boost to Rodgers, as the Northern Irish manager looks to complete a second successive treble after stretching their lead at the top of the table to 12 points with a game in hand.
