Celtic have received a Scottish Cup boost with Craig Gordon fit.
BBC Sport claim Craig Gordon has returned in time from a knee injury to start between the sticks for Celtic in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday against Motherwell.
The 35-year-old has missed Celtic’s last three games against Hearts, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen due to the injury, with newly-made permanent signing Scott Bain replacing him. Dorus de Vries has been seemingly left out in the cold.
However, 26-year-old Bain’s personal hopes of starting in the final have gone amiss, with Celtic set to welcome back number one Gordon who returned to training this week.
The former Hearts and Sunderland goalkeeper has been in excellent form once again this season, keeping a huge 25 clean sheets in 44 league and cup outings. He has conceded just 42 goals.
The 52-time international will be hoping to win his ninth title with the Hoops, after already clocking up four league titles, three Scottish League Cups and one Scottish Cup since he moved to Celtic in 2014.
Rodgers does have three players missing through injury, though, with Odsonne Edouard, Nir Bitton and Jonny Hayes still on the sidelines with long-term problems.
